Should No. 25 Miami have any trouble at home when the Hurricanes take on Wake Forest tonight at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Miami is the favorite at home tonight, as the Hurricanes are getting odds of -8.5 points against Wake Forest. The over/under total for the game is listed at 145 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida and will air live on ESPN2.

Miami has won two straight and four of its last five coming into tonight. Miami is 17-5 overall, 6-4 in the ACC and 9-8 against the spread. The Hurricanes are putting up 75.3 points per game on offense while allowing 65.7 per contest. Miami is being led by Dewan Huell, who is averaging 12.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Bruce Brown Jr. averages 11.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, but he is out indefinitely due to a foot injury.

Wake Forest is coming off a 75-67 loss at home to Clemson for its eighth loss in nine games. The Demon Deacons are now 9-14 overall, 2-9 in the ACC and 7-13-1 against the spread. Bet on Wake Forest vs. Miami

The home team has won the last six meetings in this series, but Wake Forest is 2-0-1 against the spread in the last three encounters. However, Wake has been a mess over the last month, failing to cover in all eight of the losses over this nine game stretch. Their last three road losses have been by at least nine points. Miami has a defense that should be able to lock up this Wake Forest team and cruise to a comfortable win. The public betting is backing Miami at home as well.
