Kennedy Chandler accumulated eight points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and four steals in 30 minutes during Saturday’s 52-51 loss to Texas. The freshman was held in check offensively with just eight points, as Chandler scored in single digits for a third third time across the past seven games. After getting off a brilliant start averaging 16.1 points across 52.3 percent shooting, Chandler is tallying just 11.5 points across 37.8 percent overall shooting since Dec. 7.
South Carolina Gamecocks Game Notes
James Reese notched 20 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday’s 74-63 victory over Texas A&M. Reese led the Gamecocks offensively with another fabulous performance. His 20 points accounted for a new season best, and he drained at least three threes for a third time across the last four games. Reese is currently recording 10.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 18 starts.
