LSU Tigers Game Notes
Darius Days (undisclosed) had 30 points (11-13 FG, 8-9 3Pt) and six rebounds across 22 minutes in Tuesday’s 101-39 victory over Louisiana-Monroe. Days and a whole array of teammates were limited during exhibition play, but that will ultimately be a blip on the radar with the team at full strength for this blowout. Now in his third year with the program, Days is the only returning player who averaged double figures last season. Despite an influx of new talent via recruits and transfers, early indications are that Days has a great shot to be the usage leader in 2021-22.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Game Notes
Daivien Williamson notched 18 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and four steals across 29 minutes during Saturday’s 87-63 victory over North Carolina A&T. Williamson has scored at least 15 points in each of his last three contests while also draining exactly four three-pointers in each of those appearances. The senior guard is having a strong start to the season and is averaging a career-high 17.0 points per game to date.
