Kentucky vs. Tennessee Public Betting: Bettors Backing Dawgs

Our CBB Public Betting Information page indicates that 69% of public bettors are currently backing Kentucky when it comes to the spread. This information is subject to change throughout the day, however, so be sure to check the link so you’re receiving the most up-to-date public betting data.

Carr listed as questionable vs. Tuesday

Andrew Carr (undisclosed) has been listed as questionable ahead of Tuesday’s game against Tennessee. Carr, who sat out during Saturday’s loss against Vanderbilt due to a lingering back issue, remains questionable to suit up against the Volunteers. The 6-foot-11 starter would be a huge loss for the Wildcats, who are already down Lamont Butler (undisclosed) and Kerr Kriisa (foot) for the contest.

Zeigler goes cold vs. Auburn

Zakai Zeigler ended Saturday’s 53-51 loss to Auburn with 14 points (4-15 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two steals across 39 minutes. The Tennessee offense continues to be its Achilles heel, and that was no different Saturday against one of the top defenses in the country. Zeigler put up a strong all-around line in terms of counting stats, but he failed to make one three-pointer for the first time since Dec. 14. He’s currently shooting a career-low 29.6 percent from distance, and Tennessee has lost two of its last three. Zeigler will look to bounce back in another tough matchup against Kentucky on Tuesday.

Kentucky vs. Tennessee CBB Prediction:

Take Kentucky. The Vols have been so up-and-down this month that I’m not willing to lay 10.5 points in an SEC matchup that has been even over the years. More specifically, over the last 10 Kentucky-Tennessee matchups, the Wildcats are 5-5 straight up and 5-5 against the spread. Kentucky has also won three out of the last four meetings between these two teams, covering in all of those victories. The loss to Vanderbilt was concerning, but I think we’ll get the Wildcats’ best tonight in Knoxville. I expect them to raise their game.
