Lipsey logs eight points vs. ASU
Tamin Lipsey logged eight points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Saturday’s 76-61 victory over Arizona State. Lipsey is averaging just 8.4 ppg over his last five games and 9.9 ppg on the season — a relatively steep decline from the 12.4 ppg he logged a season ago. His field-goal percentage is up, but his rebounding and assists numbers are down tremendously, representing a tough break for fantasy managers who selected the ISU shooting guard with hopes for growth. Despite the individual regression, the Cyclones are still having an excellent season, sporting a 7-1 record in Big 12 play and positioning themselves well for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Bradley leads way in win
Jaden Bradley produced 15 points (5-9 FG, 5-7 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 38 minutes during Saturday’s 72-67 victory over Cincinnati. Bradley played a season-high 38 minutes, leading the way with 15 points on 55.6-percent shooting during Saturday’s win. It’s the fifth time in 13 games this season Bradley has totaled at least 15 points. On the season, the junior point guard is averaging 11.5 points, 3.2 boards, 3.7 assists and 2.2 steals across 30.4 minutes per contest.
Iowa State vs. Arizona CBB Prediction:
I’m taking Arizona. Both of these teams have been in good form. The Cyclones are 9-1 straight up over their last 10 games and covered in seven of those 10 contests. It’s the same on the other side with the Cyclones, who are 9-1 straight up and 7-3 ATS over their last 10 games. So why the Wildcats? Because this is a short number and they’re 9-1 at home this season. They covered in two of their last three games at home, with the lone exception being an 8-point victory over UCF as a 17-point fave. I believe the Wildcats will be up for the challenge tonight.
