South Region Updated Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The South Region of the NCAA Tournament appears to be the hardest to pick by the oddsmakers. Here is a look at the odds for this region.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Duke and Gonzaga have equal odds to win this region, as both are getting 3/2 odds. Utah is coming in with 3/1 odds while UCLA has 14/1 odds. The South Regional semifinals and finals will be held on Friday and Sunday from NRG Stadium in Houston.
Duke is the top seed in the South. It defeated No. 16 Robert Morris 85-56 and then dispatched No. 8 San Diego State 68-49. The Blue Devils will face Utah on Friday.
Gonzaga is the second seed in the region. The Bulldogs defeated No. 15 North Dakota State 86-76 and then got past No. 7 Iowa 87-68. Gonzaga is set to face UCLA on Friday.
Utah is the fifth seed in the region. The Utes defeated No. 12 Stephen F. Austin 57-50 and then got past No. 4 Georgetown 75-64. Utah will now have to take on Duke.
UCLA is the surprise team in this group of four. It is the No. 11 seed and wasn’t expected to make the field by many. The Bruins have beaten No. 6 SMU 60-59 and then beat No. 14 UAB 92-75.
