Ryan Hawkins had 23 points (8-12 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes during Tuesday’s 59-55 win over UConn. Hawkins led Creighton in points and rebounds in Tuesday’s victory. His sixth double-double of the season was his most impressive yet as it was his first of the season that involved more than 20 points. After missing all five of his three-point attempts over the two games previous to Tuesday, it was an incredible bounce-back performance by the senior to deliver four makes from three-point territory Tuesday. He will seek to stay red hot against Seton Hall on Friday.
Seton Hall Pirates Game Notes
Ike Obiagu closed with two points (1-3 FG), 10 rebounds, four blocks and two steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday’s 73-63 loss to Marquette. Obiagu has averaged 3.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.4 blocks through seven appearances where he has seen over 20 minutes of floor time this season. The senior led the floor in rebounding and recorded a season-high two steals in Wednesday’s defeat. The Pirates have lost two consecutive games and they have yet to string three losses together on the season. Obiagu and Seton Hall will seek to keep that trend alive by earning a win against Georgetown on Tuesday.
