(The Spread) – A pair of top-25 teams are in action Thursday night as the final stretch run of the conference season in college basketball is making for some exciting pushes for regular season titles.

Bolstered by a six-game winning streak, the 12th-ranked Arizona Wildcats (21-4, 10-2 Pac-10) have maneuvered their way to the top of the conference standings. Arizona will attempt to keep its streak alive Thursday night as it hosts Washington State (17-8, 7-6) at 8:30PM EST.
Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have listed Arizona as an 8.5-point favorite in the matchup. According to the latest trends, Washington State is 3-2 against the spread versus Arizona over the past three seasons.
Arizona began its run of six consecutive wins with a tight 65-63 victory Jan. 22 at Washington State. Since then, four of the Wildcats’ five wins have been by at least nine points with the other being a 107-105 triple overtime win at California on Feb. 5.
Washington State is 3-3 in its last six games, alternating between wins and losses. The Cougars’ last contest was a 75-71 win Saturday over California.
Junior Klay Thompson, a potential NBA first round draft pick, is leading Washington State in scoring this season with a 20.6 points per game average. Sophomore Derrick Williams paces the Wildcats with at 19.2 ppg, the lone Wildcat with a double-digit scoring average.
In other top-25 action Richmond (20-6, 9-2 Atlantic 10) is at Temple (19-5, 9-2) for a 7:00PM EST showdown between the two teams tied for second place in the confefence behind Xavier. Oddsmakers have made Temple a 6-point favorite in the game.
The Owls are 11-0 at home this season, while Richmond is 8-2 in road games.
