Duke-North Carolina spread climbs
DURHAM, NC (The Spread) – No. 15 North Carolina and No. 4 Duke will renew its rivalry tonight at 9:00PM ET and the line has already climbed nearly two full points from the opening number.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Blue Devils are currently 8.5-point home favorites over the Tar Heels for tonight’s game while the total is sitting at 155 points. Both the spread and the total has already seen movement, as Duke opened at -7 while the total opened as high as 162 at some books.
The Tar Heels have had success covering the spread in this series and so has the road team. North Carolina is 7-2 against the spread in its last nine games in Durham while the road team is 11-4 against the number in the last 15 meetings between these two teams.
That said, North Carolina is just 2-8-1 against the spread in its last 11 games overall and is a brutal 3-13-1 ATS in its last 17 games versus fellow ACC opponents. Duke, meanwhile, is 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games on Wednesday and 0-4-1 against the number in its last five games following an ATS win.
