Auburn vs. Ole Miss Pick
Will No. 11 Auburn go on the road and pick up a comfortable win over Ole Miss when the two SEC foes meet tonight at 9PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Auburn is favored on the road, as the Tigers are getting odds of -4.5 points against Ole Miss. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 162 points. These two will meet from The Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi and will air live on the SEC Network.
Auburn has won three straight coming into tonight’s game, picking up double-digit wins over LSU, Missouri and Georgia. The Tigers are 19-2 overall, 7-1 in the SEC and 14-5 against the spread. Auburn is putting up 86 points per game on offense this season while allowing 72.3 per contest. Bryce Brown is leading Auburn this season with 16.3 points per game while Mustapha Heron is adding 15.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest.
Ole Miss is coming off an 85-72 loss at Texas. The Rebels have lost three of their last four games. Mississippi is now 11-10 on the season, 4-4 in the SEC and 9-11 against the spread. Ole Miss is putting up 78.5 points per game on offense this year while allowing 75.9 per game on defense. Deandre Burnett is averaging 15.2 points and 4.5 assists per game on offense this season while Terence Davis is adding 13.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
Auburn snapped a long losing streak to Ole Miss with an 85-70 win at home back on Jan. 9. Despite losing regularly, Ole Miss has been pretty strong at covering. The Rebels have covered in four of their last five overall and in six straight home games. Auburn has certainly been tough as well, but I think going on the road can present some problems. I look for this game to be very close and come down to the wire. The public betting is backing Auburn tonight, but I like Ole Miss to cover at home.
