Missouri Valley Tourny Odds
ST. LOUIS (TheSpread) – The 2011 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament tips off on Thursday from the Scottrade Center and will span over the next four days.

Thursday features a pair of opening round games with the 7-10 seeds playing to get their way into the quarterfinals. From there a standard 8-team tournament will be played out over the following three days.
Missouri State enters the tournament as the favorite according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com as they have 27/20 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Wichita State (3/2) and Northern Iowa (7/2).
Missouri State is the No. 1 seed in the tournament as it won the regular season title with a 15-3 record. They are also 23-7 on the season. Missouri State has only won the conference tournament one time, back in 1992.
Wichita State is the No. 2 seed in the tournament as it went 14-4 in MVC play and it is also 23-7 overall for the season. Wichita State last won the conference tournament back in 1987. It has two titles to its credit.
Northern Iowa is the defending conference tournament champion. It has won three tournament titles in MVC history. NIU comes in as the fourth seed in the tournament, as it went 10-8 in regular season play and 19-12 overall.
