Clemson vs. UAB Odds
DAYTON, OH (TheSpread) – The first two at-large teams to play in the 2011 NCAA Tournament will be Clemson and UAB, who meet in the First Four on Tuesday at 9PM ET from Dayton Arena.

Each of these two were given at-large bids into March Madness, but were among the last four teams to get those at-large bids. Now, both are 12 seeds in the East Region and the winner will face West Virginia on Thursday at 12:15PM ET from Tampa.
Clemson comes into tonight’s game as the favorite according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com as they have point spread odds of -4.5 against UAB. The over/under total has been set at 121.5 points.
Clemson went 21-11 on the year and is 3-2 in games on a neutral floor. The Tigers went 9-7 in ACC play and had one win over ranked opponents throughout the season. All but one of Clemson’s 11 losses were decided by 10 points or less this season. Clemson has been led this season by guard Demontez Stitt, who averages 14.7 points and 3.4 assists per game. Clemson scores 68.2 points per game while allowing only 60.9 points per contest on defense.
UAB comes into the tournament with a 22-8 overall record and a 1-1 mark in neutral-site games. The Blazers won the Conference USA regular season title, but came up short in the conference tournament. Six of their eight losses this season have been by single digits. The Blazers don’t hold a win over any ranked opponents during the season. Leading the team has been guard Jamarr Sanders, who averages 17.7 points per game while forward Cameron Moore adds 14.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. The Blazers average 68.9 points per game on offense and give up just 62.3 points per contest.
Trends show that Clemson is 1-5 against the point spread odds in their last 6 non-conference games and 3-11-1 ATS in their last 15 games on a neutral floor. UAB is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.
In terms of injuries, both teams come in healthy as the only loss is for UAB, who is without forward Jordan Swing, who has been out since late November due to eligibility issues.
Over 6,600 public bets have been made on this game and 67% of the wagers are going with Clemson with point spread odds of -4.5 against UAB.
