Will the red-hot Heat cover as a road favorite tonight when they visit the Nets at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Heat are 6.5-point road favorites versus the Nets after the number hit the board at 5. As for the total, it opened at 215.5 but has been bet down a full two points to 213.5.
Miami enters play tonight with a perfect 10-0 record over its last 10 games and is 9-0-1 against the spread over that stretch. The Heat’s latest win came over the Bucks in Milwaukee two nights ago. In their 106-88 victory, James Johnson came off the bench to score 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, with four rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots.
Brooklyn, meanwhile, is 0-10 in its last 10 games and is just 3-6-1 against the spread during that same span. The Nets’ latest loss came at the hands of the Wizards in a 114-110 defeat in overtime on Wednesday. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 13 points with 11 rebounds, while Caris LeVert (knee, rest) returned to action and added nine points with five rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.
