George has sights on MVP next season
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – Paul George has his sights on winning the NBA MVP award next season.
While speaking to basketball fans at a Nike store in Beijing, George said that his goal is to win the MVP this year:
“After being drafted into the NBA, I was playing from the bench and then tried to be a starter, then an All-Star. My goal now is set to be MVP. This year, that hasn’t changed,” George said.
George also spoke about stepping into a leadership role in 2015 now that David West and Roy Hibbert are no longer with the Pacers.
“As a team leader, you must learn to give more effort than others, the first to arrive every day to the arena, the last one to leave every day,” he said per the Indy Star.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Pacers are currently 50/1 to win the 2016 NBA Championship.
