Pelicans vs. Jazz Prediction
The Jazz have a good opportunity to add to their win column Monday night as a home favorite versus the visiting Pelicans. That said, as a double-digit home favorite is Utah overvalued from a betting standpoint? Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m. ET.

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Jazz are 10.5-point favorites to beat the Pelicans. The total, meanwhile, sits at 229 points and as of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Pelicans to cover the point spread.
New Orleans Pelicans Fantasy Spin
Anthony Davis (illness) is questionable for Monday’s game vs. the Jazz. Davis sat out Saturday’s game but that was planned rest in the second half of a back-to-back set. His ‘questionable’ tag for Monday is ominous since the Pelicans have no incentive to play him at less than 100 percent, but we’ll know more after shootaround. If he sits out Cheick Diallo, Julius Randle and Jahlil Okafor all get a boost.
Utah Jazz Fantasy Spin
Donovan Mitchell had a signature night during a thrilling 115-111 win over the Bucks on Saturday, scoring a career-high 46 points with three rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and five 3-pointers in 39 minutes. The Jazz looked to be dead down 90-73 with 9:39 left, but then Donovan Mitchell happened. He scored 19 points in the final 8:10 as the home squad surged for this big win against the NBA’s No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Mitchell is starting his second half on fire, averaging 33.0 points, 5.4 boards, 5.2 dimes, 0.8 blocks and 3.6 treys on a 34.1 usage rate. His coaching staff is treating him like an offensive superstar and big things look to be ahead.
NBA Betting Trends

Utah

Prediction
This is too many points. The Pelicans have covered the spread in four of their last five games overall, are 7-3 against the number in their last 10 road games and are 7-1 at the betting window in their last eight games versus an opponent with a winning record. The road team has also covered the number in all four the previous four meetings between these two teams.
