Nets vs. Kings Pick

Are the Sacramento Kings going to get the job done on their home court tonight when they host the Brooklyn Nets at 10PM ET?

CURRENT ODDS

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Nets are a 2.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 213 points.

LINE MOVEMENT

Brooklyn opened as a 1-point favorite before the line increased, while the total has dropped from 213.5. The current odds are in line with what you will find at almost any book.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Thursday afternoon, 63 percent of public bets have come in on the visiting Nets. Online wager info also shows that 61 percent of bets are coming in on the over.

INJURY TO WATCH

Brooklyn center Jahlil Okafor has missed the last four games with a calf injury and an illness. He will be out again tonight. For the Kings, power forward Skal Labissiere is expected to play tonight despite a sprained ankle. Garrett Temple has missed the last two games with a back injury and is questionable tonight.

BETTING STRATEGY

The Nets have lost nine of their last 10 games. Sacramento has lost five in a row and seven of its last eight. Which team will suck less tonight? All jokes aside, this might actually be an etertaining game for betting purposes with a lot of young players (and Zach Randolph) playing a prominent role. With Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Caris LaVert back in the lineup for Brooklyn, it has a couple extra playmakers to work with. But I think the difference in this game will be Willie Cauley-Stein, who should feast against a Nets squad that is horrible against opposing centers. Take the Kings as dogs.
