Chicago enters with a 10-20 overall record and 17-12-1 ATS after a 112-94 home win Wednesday night over the Magic, its seventh consecutive victory. Cleveland is 23-9 overall and 11-20-1 ATS following a 119-116 loss at the Bucks, which ended a five-game win streak. The Cavaliers are 2-0 straight up and 1-1 ATS in two meetings so far this season. The Bulls are 4-2 straight up and 5-1 ATS in six meetings since the start of last season. The over-under is 3-3.
In the win versus Orlando, Denzel Valentine led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points along with 10 rebounds and five assists. Kris Dunn contributed 15 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. Nikola Mirotic added 15 points and 10 boards off the bench. Chicago led 90-66 through three quarters.
LeBron James tallied 39 points, seven assists and three steals and two blocked shots in the victory at Milwaukee. Kevin Love accounted for 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Dwyane Wade added 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals off the bench. Cleveland outscored the Bucks 33-21 in the fourth quarter and briefly took the lead, but were unable to hold on.
Chicago is 24-8 ATS in the last 32 meetings. Cleveland is 3-13-1 ATS in its last 17 games against teams with a losing straight up record.
Chicago is rolling, but it might all come to an end here. On a back-to-back, it has the unenviable task of traveling to Cleveland on the back end. The Cavs didn’t play all that well at Milwaukee, with even King James turning the ball over seven times. While it appears the Bulls have found a workable rotation now that Mirotic is back, this is too tall of a task against a team that will be undoubtedly salty. Bet on the Cavs to make it 3-0 in the season series.
