Curry’s crew continues hammering foes
Golden State trailed the Clippers by 12 points at halftime Thursday. Yet, it didn’t take long for Steve Kerr’s club to perform a spectacular turnaround.
Stephen Curry and the rest of the Warriors’ gaggle of All-Stars hung 50 on Los Angeles in the third quarter, pulling away for a 123-113 victory. The Dubs hope to produce a more balanced effort when Brooklyn comes to town this evening. Online sports book Bovada.lv gives the hosts odds of -2300 to prevail, while the Nets enter Oracle Arena as +1650 underdogs.

Fresh off his 35-point outburst vs. the Clips, Curry should fully exploit a Brooklyn defense that allows opponents to shoot 36.7 percent from beyond the arc. Interestingly, though, he’s averaging only 22.9 points in 13 career meetings with the Nets. On Dec. 22, Kenny Atkinson’s troops limited Curry to six field goals.
Mired in a 15-game losing streak, the visitors have very little about which to get excited. On the bright side, however, Jeremy Lin’s back after a prolonged injury absence. The Harvard product dished out five assists across 15 minutes in last night’s 129-109 setback at Denver.
Along with rock-steady center Brook Lopez, Lin could be among the few survivors of an absolutely brutal campaign in Brooklyn. Of course, such a notion will amount to nothing shortly. Golden State’s in the perfect position to put up another silly offensive display.
