Knicks vs. Bulls Pick
Will the New York Knicks take advantage of the host Chicago Bulls being on a back-to-back tonight when they do battle at 8PM ET?
Who Oddsmakers Like: Chicago. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Bulls are a 2-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 209 points. The spread has not budged from Chicago opening as a 2-point fave, but the total has gone up since opening at 207.
Who the Public Likes: Chicago. As of Wednesday afternoon, 61 percent of the betting public has placed wagers on the host Bulls.
Injury Report: Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is reportedly making progress with the stress injury to his lower left leg, but is still slated to miss the next week or two. Bulls guard Zach LaVine is reovering from a torn ACL and could return in two or three weeks.
Who the Trends Like: New York is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. The over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Chicago. The Bulls are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games.
Who We Like: It might be a problem for the Knicks that center Enes Kanter can record a 31-point and 22-rebound behemoth of a basketball game on Christmas Day and yet New York manages to loss by seven at home to a struggling Sixers squad. OF course, Joel Embiid did play for Philadelphia which makes a world of difference. The Knicks have now lost three of four, although the one victory was at home over a strong Boston squad. Even on a back-to-back, I personally like the Bulls in this spot. The Knicks struggle to defend point guards and Chicago gets going via point guard Kris Dunn. With its solid collection of guards and forwards, the Bulls are showing they are not an also-ran this season despite the miserable start. Tuesday night’s 115-106 victory at Milwaukee was their eighth win in their last 10 games. Take the hot team here.
