Leonard has yet to win this honor in his career. He finished third in the race last season after averaging 25.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Leonard has become the focal point of the Spurs on offense and that isn’t likely to change this season.

LeBron James is a four-time MVP winner during his career, but the last award came in the 2012-13 season with the Miami Heat. James is coming off a 2016-17 season where he averaged 26.4 points, 8.7 assists and 8.6 rebounds per game. He played in 74 games, but seems to be focusing more on resting his body during the regular season to get prepped for the playoffs.

Bet on the NBA Futures Odds

Durant won the NBA MVP honor in the 2013-14 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant averaged 25.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game last season, his first with the Warriors. He missed 20 games last year due to injury

Westbrook is coming off an MVP season in the 2016-17 campaign. It was his first MVP honor. He averaged 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game last year and set a new record for triple-doubles in a season. With the addition of Paul George to the roster, will it take some of his stats down?
