Pacers struggling to cover vs. 76ers
PHILADELPHIA, PA (The Spread) – The Pacers are heavy favorites tonight versus the 76ers at 7:00PM ET but they’ve struggled to cover the spread in recent meetings between these two teams.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Pacers are 8-point road favorites versus the 76ers while the over/under total is currently sitting at 186 points. Indiana opened as 6.5-point favorites before the line was bet up, while the total opened at 185 before climbing a full point at most books.
Despite being a heavy favorite tonight, the Pacers have struggled to cover the number in recent meetings between these two teams. Indiana is 1-6 at the betting window in its last seven games versus Philadelphia overall while the underdog is a healthy 18-7-1 against the spread in the last 26 meetings between these two teams.
The Sixers, meanwhile, have cashed in recent home games and contests versus Eastern Conference opponents. They’re 6-0 against the spread in their last six home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus Eastern Conference foes. They’re also 7-1 against the number in their last eight games overall and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against Central opponents.
