Kings vs. Pistons Prediction
In what should be a relatively high-scoring game for bettors, the Pistons will host the Kings tonight at 7:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Detroit opened as a 6.5-point favorite over Sacramento and that’s where the number currently sits. As for the total, the over/under opened at 216 before being bet up to 216.5.

The Pistons have played .500 ball over their last 10 games, going 5-5 both straight up and against the spread. As for the Kings, they’re just 2-8 in their last 10 games while failing to cover in seven of those 10 contests. Sacramento is also 16-17 ATS as a road team this season while Detroit is 19-11 ATS at home in 2015-16.
With its 19-11-1 ATS record at home, the Pistons own the best home record against the spread in the NBA. But the problem with laying 6.5 points, even against a poor Kings team, is that Detroit isn’t playing well defensively right now. The Pistons allowed 111 points to the Sixers, 124 in a loss to the Wizards, and 118 in a home loss to the Hawks over their last three games.

The over has also cashed in four of the Pistons’ last five home games and is 4-0 in their last four games versus a team with a losing record. The over has also hit in five of the Kings’ last six games versus Eastern Conference foes and is 10-4 in their last 14 contests when their opponent scores 100 points or more in its previous game.
Furthermore, the over is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings between these two teams in Detroit.
