Jazz struggling to cover vs. Mavs
At 8:30PM ET tonight the Jazz will tip-off against the Mavericks, a team that they’ve had issues covering the spread against in previous meetings.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mavs are 2-point home favorites versus the Jazz while the over/under has been bet up from 183.5 to 185. Dallas enters play with a 29-25 record and is a healthy 30-23 against the spread, while Utah is 25-25 overall and 26-24 against the number.
The Jazz are just 1-6-1 against the spread in their last eight games versus the Mavs and are winless at 0-3-1 against the number in their last four games played in Dallas. The favorite has also dominated in this series, going 22-8-1 against the number in the last 31 meetings while the home team is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
Dallas has also been an outstanding bet versus the Northwest, covering in eight of its last nine games versus that division. The Mavs are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight home games as well, while the Jazz have failed to cover in eight of their last 11 road games.
