Garnett suspended one game
BROOKLYN, NY (TheSpread) – The Brooklyn Nets will be without one of their top players tomorrow night against the Memphis Grizzlies, as Kevin Garnett has been suspended.
Garnett has been suspended for one game without pay following his head-butt of Houston’s Dwight Howard during Monday night’s game. The altercation took place during the first quarter and resulted in Garnett being ejected. Howard was fined $15,000 for his actions in the skirmish. The Nets ultimately lost 113-99.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Nets currently have 250/1 odds to win the NBA Finals this season. The Bulls and Warriors are the current co-favorites, as each has 5/1 odds, while the Spurs come in with 13/2 odds.
The Nets are currently 16-22 on the season and they hold a 1.5-game lead on the Pacers and Hornets for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference right now. The Nets are 9.5 games behind the Raptors for first in the Atlantic Division. The Nets are 17-21 against the spread on the year while hitting the under in 24 of 38 games.
