Spurs vs. Knicks Prediction
Are the Spurs laying too many points to the dysfunctional Knicks this afternoon at 3:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Spurs are now 8-point road favorites versus the Knicks after opening as a 7.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 215.5 but has been bet down to 212.5.
The Spurs enter play this afternoon with a 7-3 record over their last 10 games but are just 5-5 against the spread during that span. They have won back-to-back games since an 89-74 dud against Memphis last week, beating the 76ers 111-103 as a 12-point road favorite and Detroit, 103-92 as a 4.5-point road favorite. They’ve failed to cover in two of their last three games but did so against the Pistons on Friday.
The Knicks have had a rough stretch, dropping seven of their last 10 games and going 4-6 against the spread during that stretch. With their 131-123 loss to the Nuggets at home on Friday, the Knicks have now lost four consecutive games to fall to 22-33 on the year. They’ve also failed to cover the spread in four straight games.

OUR PREDICTION: The Knicks have been a dreadful play for bettors, failing to cover in four straight home games, four straight overall, and six straight against Western Conference opponents. They’re also 0-5 at the betting window in their last five games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in its previous game. The Spurs are 9-4 against the number in their last 13 games versus Eastern Conference opponents and have covered in 15 of 22 following a win. It might be tight, but the Spurs should pull away at some point.
