NBA Finals Game 4 Player Prop Odds
(TheSpread) – The 2013 NBA Finals head to San Antonio tonight. Here is a look at the player prop odds available for Game 4.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals features the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Miami Heat at 9PM ET, with San Antonio leading the series 2-1. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, San Antonio is the favorite in Game 4 at home, as the Spurs have odds of -1.5 points against the Heat. The over/under total for the game has been set at 187 points. When it comes to players in this game, the focus will be on LeBron James of the Heat and Gary Neal of the Spurs. Due to the injury concerns for Tony Parker, he hasn’t been listed for any prop odds.
James had just 15 points on 7 of 21 shooting in Miami’s Game 3 loss to the Spurs. James has now scored under 20 points in all three Finals games. One criticism of James in this series has been his lack of aggression on offense. He went without a free throw attempt in Game 3 and has just 6 attempts in the whole series. For this game, he has been given over/under odds of 6.5 free throws made. James is shooting 77.5 percent from the charity stripe in the postseason and he is 5 for 6 at the line in the Finals. He has had at least 7 free throws made in eight of Miami’s 19 playoff games this year.
With Parker’s uncertain level of play, San Antonio may need to rely on Neal to step up again. Neal came off the bench to score 24 points on 9 of 17 shooting, including 6 of 10 from 3-point land. He is averaging just 6.9 points per game in the postseason, but he gave the Spurs the boost they needed in Game 3. For Game 4, Neal has been given over/under odds of 8.5 points. Neal will probably see an expanded role as the Spurs won’t want to push Parker too much. Neal has scored at least 9 points in five of San Antonio’s 17 games this postseason. Neal is averaging 11.25 points following a game that he has scored in double figures in these playoffs.
