Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have given griffin 2/5 odds to win this year’s dunk contest while other competitors are DeMar DeRozan (7/2), Javala McGee (11/2), and Serge Ibaka (8/1).

Neither of the competitors have won a Slam Dunk contest and DeRozon is the only one of the four to have competed in a previous contest.

Griffin is the runaway favorite to win this event mainly due to his powerful dunks during the season. Griffin has shown tremendous vertical leaping ability and he puts together a highlight real almost every night he plays.

DeRozan finished second to Nate Robinson in last year’s dunk contest. He actually had the highest first round score of the four competitors with a 92. His second dunk of the night scored a maximum point total of 50.
