Hawks vs. Bulls Series Odds
(TheSpread) – The Chicago Bulls are looking to reach the Eastern Conference Finals, but they must get past the Atlanta Hawks in the second round, which starts on Monday.
Chicago is the top seed in the Eastern Conference and the entire playoffs. The Bulls beat Indiana in the first round in five games. Atlanta is the No. 5 seed in the East and the Hawks reached the second round by disposing of Orlando in six games.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com the Bulls are a clear favorite to win this series with odds of -900 while the Hawks come in with odds of +550.
Chicago disposed of the Pacers in five games and took a 3-0 series to start the lead. The one loss for the Bulls came on the road by five points. Chicago was led by MVP candidate, Derrick Rose, who averaged 27.6 points per game.
The Hawks pulled off a mild upset by beating Orlando in five games. The Hawks won all three games at home and managed an upset in the series opener at Orlando. The Hawks scored a minimum of 82 points in all of the games. Atlanta was led in the series by Jamal Crawford, who scored 20.5 points per game.
These two teams faced off three times during the regular season and Chicago won two of the three games. The Bulls were favored in all three contests and covered in both their wins. Chicago won the rebounding battle in all three contests.
Trends show that the Hawks are 7-3 against the point spread odds in their last 10 games with the Bulls while Chicago is just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games.
In terms of injuries, Atlanta guard Kirk Hinrich is out for the start of the series with a hamstring injury while Chicago forward Carlos Boozer is probable with a toe injury.
