NBA Finals Game 2 Props
(TheSpread) β The Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks resume the 2011 NBA Finals on Thursday night. Here is a look at the prop odds for Game 2.
The Heat won Game 1 of the series 92-84 thanks to a strong finish. Both teams shots less than 40 percent in the contest, but Miami had a 10-rebound edge on the Mavericks. LeBron James had 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists to lead Miami while Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists in the loss. Dirk tore a tendon in his non-shooting hand during the loss, but will play through the injury for the rest of the series.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog Miami is the clear favorite to win the series now with odds of -340, while Dallas has odds of +260. For Game 2, the Heat are a 4.5-point favorite against the Mavericks.
For Game 2, Nowitzki has been given over/under odds of 7.5 rebounds. Dirk had the 8 rebounds in Game 1 and is averaging 7.56 per game in the playoffs. However, the injured finger on his non-shooting hand could hamper his ability to rebound and to be willing to battle it out in the post for rebounds.
For Miami, guard Dwayne Wade has over/under odds of 24 points for Game 2. Wade scored 22 points in Game 1, which was the most he had scored in his last four playoff games. Wade is averaging 23.6 points per game during the playoffs and 24.4 points per game against the Mavericks in his career. When playing at home this season, Wade is posting 25.5 points per game.
