LOS ANGELES, CA (TheSpread) – Some of the top shooters in the NBA gather to compete in the 2011 3-Point Contest on Saturday night.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have given Boston’s Ray Allen 2/1 odds to win the competition, making him the favorite for the competition. Other short odds to win are Kevin Durant (5/2) and Paul Pierce (4/1).

Allen is a former winner of this competition as he took the title in 2001. Just a few weeks ago, Allen became the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made, passing Reggie Miller for the record. Allen is third in the league currently in 3-point shooting as 45.7 percent. He has made the third-most in the league as well at 128.

Durant is shooting just 33.8 percent from beyond the arc and he has hit 91 3-pointers, which ranks 18th in the NBA.

Pierce is the defending champion of this event. This season, Pierce has hit 75 3-pointers and is shooting 38.5 percent from beyond the arc.
