The Los Angeles Lakers successfully defended their Western Conference Championship Saturday night by completing their series win over the Phoenix Suns.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com, Los Angeles opened with 2/3 odds to win the West meaning at $100 bet on the Lakers will pay out an additional $66.
L.A. opened the playoffs with a 4-2 series win over Oklahoma City. The Lakers had the series go similar to the conference finals, winning the first two and the last two games of the series. L.A. scored 95.5 points per-game while holding the Thunder to 93.8 points per-game.
In the second round, L.A. swept Utah. The Lakers averaged 109.2 points per-game and shot 49.1 percent from the field. The Lakers scored 111 points in each of the final three games of the series.
The Lakers defeated Phoenix 4-2 in the conference finals, winning the first two games of the series and the last two games of the series. L.A. scored at least 103 points in each game of the series and actually averaged 113.5 points per-game. The Lakers also shot 50.2 percent from the field in the series.
The Lakers will now have a rematch of the 2008 NBA Finals when they take on the Boston Celtics, starting on Thursday, June 3.
