Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Chris Paul hit 6-of-10 shots, 2-of-2 3-pointers and 3-of-3 free throws for 17 points, five rebounds, 15 assists, a block and zero turnovers in Wednesday’s Game 2 123-98 blowout win over the Nuggets to take a 2-0 lead in the series. CP3 is just the third player to have a 15-point, 15-assist game with zero turnovers in the playoffs since 1984 and he’s done it three times. Magic Johnson and Jason Kidd are the other guys to do it. The Suns have absolutely dominated the Nuggets through two games and Paul now has 26 assists with just one turnover in the series. All five Suns’ starters scored in double figures for the second straight game, Phoenix outshot Denver 48 percent to 39 percent, and the Nuggets don’t appear to have any answers for now. They’ll have to find a way to stop the Suns in Games 3 and 4 in Denver, but it doesn’t look like the Nuggets think they can beat this team right now. Game 3 is Friday night in Denver. Deandre Ayton (15 & 10) and Devin Booker (18 points, 10 rebounds) also double-doubled for the Suns.
Denver Nuggets DFS Notes
Michael Porter Jr. hit just 3-of-13 shots and 2-of-9 3-pointers for 11 points, six rebounds and one assist in Wednesday’s ugly 123-98 blowout loss to the Suns in Game 2. The Nuggets are down 0-2 after two decisive Suns’ wins and have been standing by watching as Chris Paul dismantles them through two games. MPJ is dealing with a sore back and it may have been the reason he struggled so badly tonight, while only Nikola Jokic (9-of-17 shooting, 24 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block) played well for Denver. The Nuggets starters not named Jokic hit 9-of-32 shots (28 percent) and the Nuggets were never even in this game. It looks like the Suns have the Nuggets’ number and Denver’s really going to have to turn things around in a big way at home in Games 3 and 4 if they’re going to have any chance in this series. And after finishing the regular season on a high note and getting by the Blazers in Round 1, it’s finally become apparent that they miss Jamal Murray greatly.
Suns vs. Nuggets Game 3 Playoffs Prediction
The Suns are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games in Denver and are 6-14 at the betting window in their last 20 games versus the Nuggets. Denver, meanwhile, is 4-1 against the spread in its last four games overall, is 4-1 against the number in its last five games as a favorite and is 4-1 at the betting window in its last five games as a home favorite.
