Washington Wizards DFS Spin
Bradley Beal (mild left hamstring strain) won’t play vs. the Hawks on Monday. Beal tweaked his hamstring at the end of Saturday’s game, in which he dropped 50 points, and it’ll cost him a minimum of one game. Fortunately, an MRI revealed the ‘minor’ strain and he’s day-to-day. Hamstring injuries often demand rest, but the Wizards are also balancing their pursuit of the No. 8 seed (currently 1.5 games behind the Hornets). After Monday, the Wizards will have three games left in the regular season. They will see these same Hawks on Wednesday before heading home to play Cleveland and Charlotte to end the regular season. If Beal misses any of those games, it’ll be a team-wide effort to replace him with guys like Garrison Matthews, Ish Smith and even Isaac Bonga likely to grab some playing time.
Atlanta Hawks DFS Spin
Trae Young’s 30 points, 10 assists and four rebounds were not enough on Thursday night as Atlanta fell to Indiana, snapping a three game win streak. Young often gets criticized for his lack of a defensive prowess and Thursday night he’ll likely be getting an earful as the Pacers backcourt trio of McConnell, Aaron Holiday and Caris Levert were all in double figures and all shot at least 60% from the floor. Young can fill it up on the offensive end of the court, which is where his fantasy value lies without a doubt.
Wizards vs. Hawks Betting Prediction
The Wizards are 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight road games, are 5-1 against the number in their last six games as a road dog and are 13-3 at the betting window in their last 16 games when playing on one day of rest. They’re also 15—5-1 against the spread in their last 21 games overall and have covered in nine of their last 12 games coming off a win as well.
