Knicks end skid

The New York Knicks put an end to their 8-game losing streak on Friday with a 119-112 win at the Lakers. They are 1-3 in this road trip, but have covered the spread in their last two games. New York is 10-29 overall, 6-17 on the road, 17-21-1 against the spread and 23-16 with the under.

New York is struggling on both sides of the ball, allowing 115.8 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 47.8 percent from the field. Offensively, the Knicks are putting up 107.8 points per game while shooting just 43.2 percent from the floor. Tim Hardaway Jr. has been leading the team with 20.6 points per game while Enes Kanter is adding 14.4 points and 10.7 rebounds per contest.

Blazers heating up

Portland is coming off an impressive 110-101 win over Houston at home on Saturday for their third win in four games. The Blazers have also covered the spread in the three wins. Portland is now 23-17 on the season, 15-7 at home, 20-20 against the spread and 22-18 with the under.

The Blazers are putting up 111.2 points per game on offense this season while pulling down 48.5 rebounds per game. Defensively, the Blazers are giving up 110.2 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 36.8 percent from the arc. Damian Lillard is leading the team with 26.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. CJ McCollum is adding 20.9 points per game.

NBA Betting Trends

New York

The Knicks are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight against the Western Conference and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a win.

Portland

The Blazers are 10-3-1 against the spread in their last 14 Monday games and 30-14 ATS in their last 44 home games.

Prediction:

This is quite a big spread to cover for the Blazers tonight. They are coming off a nice win over the Rockets, but haven’t put together a lot of consistency this year when it comes to covering. Over their last 10 games, the Blazers have just one double-digit victory. The Knicks have managed to cover in their last two, but have some bad losses along the way as well. Still, I will take my chances on them with the points. A lot of good needs to happen to win by at least 13 points.

NBA Prediction: New York Knicks +12
