The race will be held on Sunday, February 21 at 1:00PM ET at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The race is 200 laps covering 500 miles.
Where can I watch the Daytona 500?
Fox will carry the race on Sunday. Mike Joy, Jeff Gordon and Darrell Waltrip will be the announcers and the race will also be aired on the Motor Racing Network for those that want to listen on their radios. Joe Moore, Jeff Striegle and Rusty Wallace will be the booth announcers.
Which driver is favored to win this year?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the current favorite at 11/2 odds, followed by Jimmie Johnson at 13/2. Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick are both 10/1, respectively, while Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth are all 15/1, respectively.
Who earned the pole position?
Chase Elliott, who is 20/1 to win. Kenseth will start in the second position while Earnhardt earned the third position in qualifying over the weekend.
Which drivers have won most recently?
Logano won the Daytona 500 in 2015 while Earnhardt Jr. won in 2014 and Johnson won in 2013. There hasn’t been a repeat winner since Sterling Marlin accomplished the feat in 1994 and 1995, so bettors may want to steer clear of Logano.
