New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Harrison Bader clobbered his fourth home run of the postseason on Wednesday night, as the Yankees fell to the Astros in Game 1 of the ALCS. Bader continued his unexpected power binge in the second inning on Wednesday, crushing a Justin Verlander slider for a 411-foot solo home run that gave the Yankees a 1-0 lead. It would be his only hit in four trips to the plate on the evening. He has been sizzling at the dish this postseason, slashing a monstrous .263/.364/.895 with four homers and five RBI. He’s the first player in the storied history of the Yankees franchise to hit four home runs in his first six postseason games with the ballclub.
Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Jeremy Peña went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a solo home run on Wednesday night, leading the Astros to a 4-2 victory over the Yankees in Game 1 of the ALCS. The 25-year-old rookie shortstop smacked a one-out double off of Jameson Taillon in the opening inning, but wound up stranded at second base. He logged another two-bagger off of Taillon in the fifth inning but was left at third. Peña then tagged Frankie Montas with a 386-foot blast to lead off the seventh inning — extending the Astros lead to 4-1. His bat has come to life on the big stage of the postseason, slashing .350/.381/.800 with two homers and two RBI.
