YANKEES KEY TRENDS: The Bombers have not been profitable when Severino takes the hill. They’re 4-13 in his last 17 starts overall, are 2-6 in his last eight road starts, and are 1-7 in his last eight outings when their opponent allows five runs or more in its previous game. That said, the Yankees are 4-1 in Severino’s last five starts versus a team with a winning record.

CUBS KEY TRENDS: The Cubs have been very profitable with Lester on the hill, winning 25 of his last 34 starts overall and 23 of his last 29 home starts. They’re also 8-2 in Lester’s last 10 outings coming off four days of rest and are 12-4 in his last 16 starts after scoring five runs or more in their previous game.

Bet Tonight’s Yankees vs. Cubs Game

OUR PREDICTION: Despite the pitching trends listed above, the Yankees are too good of an underdog to pass up. They’re 7-1 in their last eight games against the Cubs and are 5-1 in their last six road games versus Chicago. They’re also red-hot, winning 18 of 23 overall and six of their last eight interleague games.
