According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Red Sox have the best odds to win the American League Pennant this season at 5/2. The defending pennant-winning Indians have the next-best odds at 4/1, while the Astros are 7/1 and the Blue Jays are 9/1.

Continuing with the current AL Pennant odds, the Yankees and Rangers are both 12/1, respectively, while the Tigers, Royals and Mariners are all 14/1, respectively. The Orioles, meanwhile, are 16/1, while the White Sox and Angels are both 28/1, respectively. The teams with the longest odds to win the American League Pennant this season are the Rays at 33/1 and the Twins and A’s at 40/1, respectively.

The Red Sox made one of the biggest splashes this offseason when they acquired Chris Sale from the White Sox. He joins a stacked rotation that already features 2016 Cy Young-winner Rick Porcello and 2016 offseason acquisition David Price. The Indians also made a move this offseason, signing Edwin Encarnacion to add more thump to their lineup. The Blue Jays lost Encarnacion’s services but did re-sign Jose Bautista, while the Astros will return youngsters Chris Correa, Jose Altuve and Dallas Keuchel, plus they acquired Brian McCann to add more punch to their lineup.
