Nathan Eovaldi yielded four runs in six innings Tuesday in a no-decision versus the White Sox. There’s definitely some reason for concern, as Eovaldi averaged just 93.8 mph with his fastball tonight. He had already been below his season average in three straight starts, but this was easily a new low for him (his previous low was 94.8 mph on Apr. 24). Maybe it’s a blip, but we’d be prepared for a downturn here.

That McKinney has four homers in 52 plate appearances isn’t very surprising, but that he’s struck out just seven times is. He had a career 26.2% strikeout rate coming into the season. He’s at barely half of that right now. McKinney still seems like a long shot to offer lasting fantasy value, but he’s a decent enough play while hot and starting regularly.
