Yankees vs. Orioles MLB Pick

Favored on the money line, will the Orioles take Game 1 of a new three-game series against the Yankees tonight at 7:05PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Orioles are -119 money line favorites over the Yankees, who have odds of +109 to pull off the upset. With Luis Severino set to face Chris Tillman in the pitching matchup, the over/under is sitting at 8.5 runs for tonight’s game.

Bet Tonight’s Yankees vs. Orioles Game

Severino was knocked around on Tuesday night in a loss to the Rangers. The 22-year-old allowed six runs on seven hits over just three innings of work, with most of the damage coming in a five-run third. Severino actually recorded two groundouts to start the inning but four hits, two walks and a wild pitch later and his start spun out of control. He’s now 0-3 with a 6.86 ERA and a 1.78 WHIP through four starts.

Tillman, meanwhile, dominated the Rays on Wednesday with nine strikeouts over 6 2/3 scoreless innings. The right-hander picked up his second win of the year and now has 24 strikeouts in 25 innings. He also sports a 3.24 ERA and is proving in the early going that his struggles last season may have been an aberration.

OUR PICK: This is a great price on a Baltimore team that is 4-0 in Tillman’s last four home starts, is 12-2 in his last 14 home starts versus a team with a losing record, and is 5-1 in his last six starts overall. The Orioles are also 6-1 in Tillman’s last seven home starts versus the Yankees and are 8-3 in his last 11 outings overall versus New York. The Bronx Bombers have also dropped 20 of their last 27 games in Baltimore and are 0-5 in their last five games versus the Orioles overall.
