How many home runs will Fielder hit in 2012? Oddsmakers list the over/under total for this prop at 36 after the first baseman hit 38 for the Milwaukee Brewers last season. In the past five seasons, Fielder hit 50, 34, 46, 32 and 38 home runs, all while a member of the Brewers.

How many total RBIs will Fielder accumulate this season? After driving in 120 ribbies last season, the over/under total for this prop is currently sitting at 120. Fielder also drove in 119 runs in 2007, 102 in 2008 and 141 in 2009.

Oddsmakers also list prop odds for Fielder’s batting average (o/u .290) and whether or not he’ll win the American League MVP (7/1). Fielder batted .299 in 2011 and in 2009, respectively, but hit just .261 in 2010.

The Tigers finalized a nine-year, $214 million contract with Fielder on Thursday. The contract is the fourth richest in baseball history and runs through 2020. Fielder will make $23 million in each of the next two seasons and $24 million per season over the final seven years of his deal.
