From Rotoworld: Teheran, who left his last start with a thigh cramp, gave up five runs in five innings Tuesday in a loss to the Phillies. It seems like Teheran has allowed five runs every time out this season, but that’s not the case. In fact, this is actually the first time this season that he’s given up exactly five runs. He’d allowed six. He’d allowed seven twice. He’d allowed eight and nine. But no five, not until tonight. He’s 7-10 with a 5.25 ERA.
Rockies manager Bud Black confirmed that Bettis (cancer) will make his season debut Monday against the Braves. Bettis was diagnosed with testicular cancer last November and needed a round of chemotherapy this spring, but the 28-year-old right-hander has a clean bill of health now. He posted a 4.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 17/7 K/BB ratio in six rehab appearances covering 23 1/3 innings.
