Giants vs. Reds Prediction

Will the Reds rout the Giants again today in Cincinnati when they face their former ace Johnny Cueto at 4:10PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Reds are -110 money line favorites to beat the hapless Giants, who have odds of +100 to pull off a small upset today in Cincinnati. With Cueto set to face Scott Feldman in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

GIANTS KEY TRENDS: The Giants have now lost five their last seven games and are just 2-7 in their last nine road games. They’re also 1-4 in their last five games versus a right-handed starter and have dropped seven of their last eight contests versus National League Central opponents.

REDS KEY TRENDS: The Reds are heating up. They’ve won four straight games and are 5-1 in their last six home games versus a team that starts a right-hander. They’re also 4-0 in their last four games when their opponent allows five runs or more in its previous game.

Bet Today’s Giants vs. Reds Game

OUR PREDICTION: The Giants are just 1-5 in their last six games against the Reds and 2-7 in their last nine games against teams that own a winning record. Cincinnati, meanwhile, has won 61 of its last 89 games against opponents than have a winning percentage of below .400. Even with Cueto pitching for the Giants, there’s no reason to back San Francisco in its current state.
