Cardinals vs. Mets Prediction
Will the Cardinals upset Jacob deGrom and the Mets when the two teams meet again at 7:10PM ET on Wednesday?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Mets are -155 money line favorites versus the Cardinals, who have odds of +125 to pull off the upset. With Mike Leake set to face deGrom in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8 runs.

From Rotoworld: Leake struggled with his command in Friday’s no-decision against the Pirates, allowing two runs on seven hits and five walks over five innings. Leake punched out three on the evening. While there were a plethora of baserunners, Leake was able to limit the damage to merely run-scoring singles in the third and fifth innings. While he has slowed after a terrific start to the season, he’ll still carry a terrific 3.14 ERA and 1.20 WHIP into Wednesday’s start against the Mets in New York.
deGrom continued his recent string of dominating starts Friday by holding the Rockies to two runs (one earned) over eight innings as part of a 14-2 victory. deGrom also had a nice night at the plate, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. The shaggy-haired right-hander struck out 11 batters and walked just one in the victory. He’s now won six straight starts while putting up a 1.53 ERA and 47/9 K/BB ratio over 47 innings. He’ll try to stay hot when he squares off against the Cardinals next week.
Bet Tonight’s Cardinals vs. Mets Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Cardinals have won four of their last five games in New York and are 4-0 in their last four games versus the Mets overall. They’re also won nine of Leake’s last 11 starts after allowing two runs or less in their previous game and are 6-1 in his last seven outings versus National League East opponents. deGrom has been sensational but the Cards could be heating up. They also got to deGrom earlier this month in St. Louis and I’m rolling the dice on an upset tonight.
