Early Game — Philadelphia Phillies at Kansas City Royals
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Kansas City Royals — Time & How to Watch
| Where | Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City MO |
| When | Monday, July 6 – 2:10 PM ET |
| TV | NBC Sports Philadelphia, Royals.TV |
Philadelphia arrives at Kauffman Stadium as a heavy favorite, and the market reflects it. Cristopher Sanchez has been one of the National League’s steadiest arms this season. The left-hander is 10-3 with a 2.00 ERA and earned a second straight All-Star selection. In his most recent outing, he struck out nine over seven innings against Pittsburgh. However, Sanchez has been noticeably shakier on the road than at home this year.
Kansas City counters with Noah Cameron, and the matchup looks lopsided on paper. Cameron is 4-6 with a 4.95 ERA and has scuffled badly of late. He carries a 9.00 ERA across his last four starts and has dropped two in a row. The Royals sit at 36-54 and have faded from the playoff picture. Philadelphia, by contrast, entered the day at 50-40.

The Pick: Kansas City Royals Run Line +1.5 (+100)
The public is piled onto Philadelphia, with 92% of run-line bets landing on the Phillies. That lopsided support often inflates the price on a favorite laying -1.5. Taking the Royals at +1.5 with plus money buys a full run of cushion at a fair number. Kansas City only needs to lose by one, or win outright, to cash. The case against is straightforward. Sanchez is the far superior pitcher, and Cameron’s recent form invites a blowout. Still, one-run games remain common in summer baseball, and the plus-money price offers value against a lopsided market.
Mid-Day Game — New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays
New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays — Time & How to Watch
| Where | Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg FL |
| When | Monday, July 6 – 6:40 PM ET |
| TV | YES Network, Rays.TV |
This is the marquee matchup on the board. Cam Schlittler owns an AL-best 2.08 ERA and has emerged as a Cy Young contender. The 25-year-old right-hander has 123 strikeouts across 104 2/3 innings. He does, though, enter on the heels of the worst start of his career. He allowed six runs and four home runs to Detroit last time out.
Tampa Bay sends Griffin Jax to the mound, and he has been excellent lately. Jax carries a 3.45 ERA overall but a 1.73 mark over his last five starts. He has won each of his last three decisions. The Rays lead the AL East at 52-35, while the Yankees hold a wild-card spot at 49-40. For a closer look, see our full Yankees-Rays preview.

The Pick: New York Yankees Moneyline (-108)
The line tells a story here. The public leans toward Tampa Bay, yet the money moved the other way. New York opened around even money and shifted to a slight favorite by first pitch. That reverse line movement often signals sharper action on the Yankees. Schlittler’s season-long dominance supports the side despite his rough last outing. The case for the Rays is real, though. They own the better record, hold home-field advantage, and Jax has been scorching. A near pick’em price means there is little margin for error. We still lean Yankees on the pitching edge and the telling line move.
Late Game — Toronto Blue Jays at San Francisco Giants
Toronto Blue Jays vs. San Francisco Giants — Time & How to Watch
| Where | Oracle Park, San Francisco CA |
| When | Monday, July 6 – 9:45 PM ET |
| TV | NBC Sports Bay Area, Sportsnet |
The nightcap heads to San Francisco, where runs can be hard to come by. Oracle Park has long suppressed offense, especially at night with the bay air. Kevin Gausman takes the ball for Toronto at 4-7 with a 4.19 ERA. Notably, he owns a 3.13 ERA in four career starts against San Francisco.
Landen Roupp answers for the Giants at 5-8 with a 4.55 ERA. His last outing was rough, as he surrendered six earned runs in 2 2/3 innings to Arizona. Both offenses have been inconsistent. Toronto sits at 42-48 and San Francisco at 37-52, so neither lineup is feared right now. The total opened at 8.0 and has since dropped to 7.5.

The Pick: Under 7.5 (+100)
The move from 8.0 down to 7.5 reflects support for the under, and the venue backs it. Oracle Park ranks among the more pitcher-friendly yards in the majors. Getting the under at plus money adds value to an already reasonable angle. The counterpoint is Roupp’s shaky recent form, which could hand Toronto early runs. A single crooked inning can flip a low total quickly. Even so, the park factors and the downward line move point toward a lower-scoring night.
