Nationals vs. Phillies Prediction

Can the Nationals complete their sweep of the Phillies today when the NL East rivals wrap up their series at 2:35PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Nationals are -130 money line favorites to beat the Phillies, who have odds of +120 to pull off the upset at home.

NATIONALS KEY TRENDS: The Nationals have won 16 of their last 21 road games and are 16-5 in their last 21 games overall. They’re also 6-0 in their last six road games versus a team with a losing record and have won five straight on the road versus a team with a winning home record.

PHILLIES KEY TRENDS: The Phillies are 0-5 in their last five games, are 0-6 in their last six games versus a right-handed starter and 1-6 in their last seven games after scoring two runs or less in their previous game. That said, they’re 5-1 in Hellickson’s last six starts and 5-0 in his last five outings at home.

Bet Today’s Nationals vs. Phillies Game

OUR PREDICTION: The Phillies are probably due but the price on a hot Nationals team is too good to pass up here. The Nats are 17-4 in their last 21 games in Philadelphia and 17-4 in their last 21 meetings overall versus the Phillies. They’ve also won four of Roark’s last five starts against the Phillies and I like them to complete their sweep today.
