Can Tigers win home opener?
The Detroit Tigers host their home opener today at 1:10PM ET when they face the New York Yankees.
The Tigers are sending Jordan Zimmerman to the mound to face Luis Severino of the Yankees. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Detroit is favored at home, as the Tigers are getting odds of -120 to win, while the Yankees are getting a money line of +110 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8 runs.
The Tigers are 2-0 on the season and playing in their home opener. The Yankees are 2-1 overall and playing in their first road game today. New York won five of the last six meetings with the Tigers last season, including three of four games in Detroit. These two have hit the over in three straight meetings.

Jordan Zimmerman makes his first start for the Tigers in front of a full crowd. The weather won’t be ideal, as the forecast calls for some snow, but the Tigers should be able to build on their start in Miami.
