Wednesday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Check out the opening odds for Wednesday’s MLB action, including the line for the smoking-hot Arizona Diamondbacks.
There’s still over a month of baseball left to be played but given how hot Diamondbacks have been, there’s little chance that they’ll give up their lead in the NL West. The D-Backs will look to win their ninth straight game today when they host the Colorado Rockies at 9:40PM ET. Oddsmakers have made visiting Colorado a +150 money line underdog, while Arizona is –160 on the ML.
Staying in the National League, Cliff Lee and the Phillies are –170 money line favorites versus Dontrelle Willis and the Cincinnati Reds (+160) at 7:10PM ET tonight. The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams while the Phillies are 4-1 in their last five games versus Cincinnati.
Switching leagues, the Yankees and Red Sox will do battle again tonight at 7:10PM Et where Boston is a –160 money line favorite with Josh Beckett on the mound. The Red Sox are 5-0 in Beckett’s last five starts versus the Yankees and 5-2 in his last seven home starts versus the Bombers. New York, meanwhile is 2-9 in its last 11 meetings versus Boston.
