Tuesday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – A couple of key divisional matchups highlight the MLB schedule on Tuesday.
Separated by three games in the NL Central, the Brewers and Cardinals will kick off a new series in St. Louis starting tonight at 8:15PM ET. The Cardinals have opened as –120 money line favorites over the Brewers, who are +110 on the ML for tonight’s game. The Brewers are 5-1 in their last six games against the Cards and 19-9 in their last 28 road games versus St. Louis.
In the American League Central, four games now separate the Tigers and Indians, who will play tonight in Cleveland at 7:05PM ET. The Tribe are –125 money line favorites over the Tigers, who are +115 on the ML. The Tigers are just 2-7 in their last nine games against the Indians and 0-11 in their last 11 road games versus Cleveland.
In the AL West, the Rangers are –185 money line favorites against the Mariners, who are +175 on the ML. According to latest MLB trends, the under is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams, while the M’s are 0-4 in their last four games against Texas.
In one of the better non-divisional matchup, the Yankees (-110) will host Dan Haren and the Angels (+100) at 7:05PM ET. The Halos are just 3-11 in their last 14 road games against the Yankees but they’re 4-1-2 in Haren’s last seven starts as an underdog.
