Sunday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The opening odds for Sunday’s MLB action are out, including the lines for the ESPN Sunday Night Baseball Game at 8:05PM ET.
The Braves have opened as –115 money line favorites over the Reds (+105) for the ESPN Sunday Night Baseball Game. Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog currently have the over/under total set at 9 runs. The Braves are 5-11 in their last 16 road games against the Reds.
In San Francisco, the Brewers (+105) and Giants (-115) will play the rubber match of their three-game series at 4:05PM ET. Yovanni Gallardo will take on Madison Bumgarner in what should be a solid pitching matchup. According to latest MLB trends, the under is 6-0 in Gallardo’s last six starts versus the Giants and 10-4 in the last 14 meetings between these two teams.
In the American League, the Yankees have opened as –165 money line favorites over the A’s, who are +155 on the ML. Oakland is 17-35 in its last 52 road games against New York and 15-37 in its last 52 meetings overall against the Yankees.
Also in the AL, the Twins have opened as –120 money line favorites over the visiting Tigers, who are +110 on the ML with Rick Porcello on the hill. The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Minnesota, 6-1 in the last seven games overall and 4-1 in Francisco Liriano’s last five starts versus Detroit.
